for every 4 artillery pieces. 1 counter battery sensor is required. unless of course that has been changed
Never heard about that (just a couple of years playing, i'm still new ... was it back in 1.10? ... why would anybody require that at all?)
counter battery??? why is it required??? or your asking something else?? say you build a collection of arty. no missles, just regular artillery. say 4 by 4 by 4 by 4... that would mean you need 4 counter battery sensors. your opponent builds the same, and for some strange reason targets your first set of 4, and takes it out. you now have 3 counter battery sensors to return the fire and wipe his arty off the map. you seriously dont build arty??? or you have never used the tactic.??? just asking.

I mean, it's wasn't ever required by the game rules, it's just your favorite strategy. Ok then, you scared me :?

Why not one tower per 5 or 10 arties? Why you say one per exactly 4 are "needed"? Why do you say it could be "changed"? Why do you reply with strategy when the question was obviously about the game rules? :? :? :? :? All these things confused me

no one in multi player?
There are quite a lot of people in multiplayer :)

Still depends on time of day though, and you only see games that are about to start, which is not always many.
You can also come to IRC to pick up a good fight or probably even a training

@ NoQ and lav_coyote25: A counter-battery radar covers anything within its sensor range. Therefore, depending on how densely-populated your areas are, it may be true that you'd have one CB radar per 4 artillery, or you could just as well have one CB radar per 100 artillery. It all depends on how much ground you want to cover, as well as how densely-packed your defenses may be.

Also, counter-battery radar is only necessary if you'd like to quickly find out where the enemy's artillery are shooting from.

well, all i can say to that, is this - when the tech tree was updated , there was a bunch of information lost. suffice it to say, whatever. i know what said was correct. you don't want to listen or use the resources, your choice. have an awesome week.

Because it requires opening the port for outgoing connections instead, which is easier.

odd descution, also shouldn't that port be used anyway on account of the receiving information part?
