Right now I'm researching cannons, rockets and mortars. Mortars can do a lot of damage in T1 actually =D

I finally won my first 3v1 AI skirmish!! Thankyou all.
Ripple rockets was the thing that kept the AI off my back as I researched up the tree, and I used cannon fortresses, various artillery pieces and rocket bastions to keep the AI's:
- Tiger tracks heavy cannon
- Tiger tracks hyper velocity cannon
- Vengeance Tracks Pulse Laser
- Vengeance Hover Scourge Missile
- Vengeance Tracks Heavy Cannon
- Various cyborgs
out of my base.
I basically overkilled my defence around the chokepoints and anything that came within range of my 4 cannon fortresses was eliminated with deadly force =).

YAYYYY!!!
In the end, a force of 2 commanders (artillery assigned) and 74 Vengeance Tracks Heavy Cannon was enough to blast the last AI to oblivion. Commanders played a huge role in decimating any emplacements that might threaten my tanks (such as cannon fortress that the AI conveniently put where I wanted to rush him). About 25 artillery emplacements were used to destroy any big obstacles (yes, that includes Laser Satellites which the AI used effectively to blast my factories to bits) and the rest was easy.

Thanks all again for your help

You can assign artillery to Sensor turret units as well, and you'll get better range too. In addition, sensor turrets can target ground artillery, so give that a try some time. ;^)

The next game i played was the exact same and i was rushed with 100 AI units at the 40 minute mark
With the setting "alliances allowed", alliances can be accepted or broken at any time in the game so you don't know what you might be up against. With the setting "locked teams" you know it remains the same throughout the game.

This is the biggest mistake I think many make. Never let your power go to zero because research and production comes to a screeching halt because you don't have the resources to do that. And you always want your research to complete as soon as possible and you do that by keeping your power above zero. If your factories are set to produce more than what you have power for at the moment, right click 2 times on what your producing to kill the process. Or what I do is right click once to pause the production, then when your power level comes back up left click one time to resume production. You should have an idea on how the research tree works so you don't research anything and everything http://guide.wz2100.net/r/tech-tree. Also you should know 1 factory produces faster than 2, and 2 produces faster than 3, etc.

Killing the process or pausing it can also be done with research, but what I do is just don't start researching if your power bar shows red when you highlight what it is you want to research. Instead reduce production if you want to research more.

It takes me 4 hours to beat the AI but if you have commanders and super pulse laser cyborgs its actually pretty easy. Note: this was with vtols off. :augh:

I've beaten AI (alliances allowed) no VTOL (T1,T2,T3), AI (alliances allowed) VTOL allowed (T3), AI (no alliance) VTOL allowed (T1,T2,T3). Now need to beat the AI alliances allowed in T1 and T2. They usually rush me with their heavy cannon python tracks when I'm nowhere near heavy cannon.

This is because AIs are cheaters XD

I was obviously joking. They just get mad at reesearching cannons, so an AI's power is always near 0. Cleanse their tanks, they won't spawn again
ENJOY!!!!! :lol2: :lol2:
