Re: Help!
Erm, why do you keep doing it, if you know that's what happens? If the guy doesn't want to be linked to... don't link to him.Saberuneko wrote:Oh that's it... I think I'm going to kill that owner... I already changed half of my passwords thinking I was hacked again...

Re: Help!
I didn't knew that would happen. :< And it's not the first time that someone tries to hurt me hacking my passes and saying things in my name for laughs... So I started taking the measures that I always did. (I already undid the changes)Zarel wrote:Erm, why do you keep doing it, if you know that's what happens? By the way, cybersphinx says this was the image you intended to post:
Which is not at all against forum rules.
Just try not to hotlink to images. This is why we usually recommend uploading attachments.
Alternatively, you could link to the page instead of the image: http://www.webwhitenoise.com/item/2008/ ... me-smiley/

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Actually, that might not be enough. If you click the links linked to in the preview of the post, your browser might just show you the image it saved from the last time you saw it. You'd need to test it by clicking the link in a different browser or computer. :/j0shdrunk0nwar wrote:And another good resaon to check the links linked to in the preview of the post.

Easier just not to hotlink, really. Simple rule: Linking to web pages is fine, linking to images or using them in the [img] tag, don't do it unless the website owner says it's okay.
(It's okay for all Warzone images, btw.)

Re: Help, I've been banned!
Don't worry, I've learnt the lesson... Next time I will upload the image here or to imageshack... Where I know that I won't have any problem.
This was the 4th accidental ban I get in my life... I'm used to this problems.
1st was because I reported a spam post on http://www.darksignsonline.com , and the mod took my name instead of the spammer.
2nd one was caused by a bug on a furry website, I clicked a link that banned me
3rd time was because someone compromised my account and insulted almost everybody (that was on another forum)
And this one, because the owner of that page...
Well... hope that no more accidents like this one happens again.
Just let's forget about this incident.
Receive my most sincere thanks for the fast help. ^w^

Re: Help, I've been banned!
For reference, I wasn't the one who banned you. I would've figured out what happened and just edited your post. <_<
But at least this way, you really know not to do that.
And so does the rest of the forum, hopefully.

Don't worry, I don't care who commited the mistake, people commits mistakes. Nobody is perfect.
Also, think that I have a little part of fault, I should have uploaded that smiley to the site or to imageshack instead of hotlinking.

It wasn't my fault that time, that link was supposed to "mark all posts as read", but it was linked to a private sub-forum instead.
