Reviving, this is small but annoying lack of information. 
Which was one of the reasons that I've moved to use "standard" groups for artillery instead of using them with commanders (here I can at least check fast how many units are in group).
Also it is really annoying that artillery unassigns and you need to check every time where they went for repair and there is no option to have commander "dedicated" for artillery, who won't let them to unassign and treats them like other units.
