Huh...what? O_o

What I wrote is 100% accurate.
I just pointed out that the 'configdir' is located in different places (by default) depending on which platfrom (windows, mac, linux) ...
So to be correct, you first need to know what platform the user is using, and then you can tell them where the default location of the 'configdir' is.

Make sense?
and it ends here.

cybersphinx wrote:"Wrong" is such a strong word. Both places should work, it's just a matter of taste (or "first working solution").

It was in reply to Lav saying: "and your placing the .wz files in the wrong place."

This is incorrect since Documents/Warzone 2100 2.2/maps/ is a right place. In fact, it's the recommended place (by the FAQ and other help files), so we should be standardizing on that.

so where are the damn maps supposed to be. are they supposed to be in the maps folder as where i put them or where zarel says to put them. as i said - i am confused. where EXACTLY are they supposed to go. one or the other. not both. :stressed: :stare: :3 xD O_o xD

They're supposed to be where I say to put them (which is where the FAQ says to put them). They can also go where you put them, but it's better to put them where I say so.

Remember, what I right is 100% accurate, too, here.

No fair abusing your post editing privileges! Grr.

But seriously, I'm actually trying to convey useful information here. That joke kind of ruins the [imho important] message.

Hey I got it working on this end...Just did a complete uninstall (uninstalled WZ then deleted all the sub folders) and then reinstalled. All better, thanks for your help. Not sure what the problem was I had 2.2 and didn't have any other copies of WZ on my computer. Oh Well...
