How amusing. When I went to RealTek's website, they recommended I download the drivers available from my mobo's website (ASUS), which were last updated in 2004. Guess ASUS has been slacking off. I'll try downloading those directly from RealTek and report my findings.

because they havent updated that mobos anythign in years they likly dont even offer tech support for it any more.. thus.. any newer drivers will have to come from te other place insteae.. but be warned that because it hasent gone through QA ad stability checks through the MOBO maker that theres no gaurentee it will work flawlessly on your system... but thats a chance you take.

Since realtek makes the chip, you are almost always assured that the drivers will work. The only exception to this is when the mobo makers tinker with the chip, (be it adding things, or removing), then, is when issues pop up.
Mobo makes don't even bother doing ANY QA or any (real) stability checks on driver releases from a OEM, and that comes from a few people who work at Abit, and MSI. They just slap their logo on the drivers, and be done with it. They leave most all the real testing to the OEM.
