Re: French Translation
I didn't translate everything, but I tried to translate most of the "visible" strings. Basically, what's missing is some part of the help displayed in the Intelligence Display menu, strings that I don't believe are used anywhere (like "Z_NULL_BRAIN") and some unit names (I got a bit bored with the huge number of names, using things already translated). Some other things may remain untranslated here and there, maybe in the campaign strings. I don't remember what the last line translated was ; I didn't do it in a linear way. If you want details, you can look at file I posted earlier, I haven't changed many things since then.

Re: French Translation
Hi All !
I'm really happy to play this game again, on my computer... Last time i launched it was on my PS One (R.I.P.), a long long time ago.So, first of all, thanks to the developers !
Right now, about the translation:
"TRANSPORT MISSION" translated in "MISSION LONGUE DISTANCE"; according to the military context, i think that "MISSION AÉROPORTÉE", or "RAID AÉROPORTÉ", would be better (?).
"INTELLIGENCE REPORT" translated in "RAPPORT DE CONNAISSANCES": once again, contextually, "RAPPORT DE RENSEIGNEMENTS" would be better, "INTELLIGENCE" and the referring report coming here as the result of secret service job, exactly like in "CIA": Central Intelligence Agency - Agence Centrale de Renseignement.
The D-Day was the 6th of june 44, not the 18 (confusing with the 18th of june 1940 ?)
I had a look on the Althalus' work, especially on the weapons names: nice job.
Congrats to all.

OK but the "Transport" in this game is not a assault unit, it only carries and drops troops, has not contacts with ennemies. It can't be considered as a "barge de débarquement" or "barge d'assaut" (this last one especially like in space games, but here we do not have a space ship), but as doing the same job that the "C-130" military aircraft of the french army. You should keep "Transporteur", i believe.gnou wrote: Barge : the boat used in Normandy the 18 june 44.

Re: French Translation
lolll
Correct about the DDay date... Shame on me. ::)
"Transporteur" can be correct, but not appropriate here in my mind.
But "AEROPORTEE" refer directly to parachute. "MISSION LONGUE DISTANCE" don't sound good...
"OPERATION" is better, "MISSION" in this context, haven't the same sense in french army.
"INTELLIGENCE REPORT" must be "RAPPORT DES RENSEIGNEMENTS", other way have no sense in french.

Re: French Translation
Homemade ? So let's try something "different", like:
"TRANSPORT MISSION: Locate and Recover Artifacts":
"EN TERRITOIRE ENNEMI: Localiser et Récupérer des Artefacts"
No ?

Re: French Translation
Agree with marcmad,
"EN TERRITOIRE ENNEMI" is wrong here.
The purpose is to do the more "correct" translation, isn't it ?
And we do that for french users, false ?
So if you just want to do your own,
with bad expressions because you prefer their sounds... Why ask you advice to other ?
???
When I say some words are wrong, it is from a french point of vue.
You take the way of a purely personnal interpretation, not of a translation.

No, this is a "Redundancy" of sense.qwerty800 wrote: "Rapport de renseignement" have sense.
