Question

Post by Alpha93 »

Here's a simple question: any suggestion on which development environment (i.e. MSVC, Dev C++, or stuff like that) to use (gonna graduate [probably] next year in Electronics&Telecoms)?
Also, I'd like to know if the latest MinGW version is still supported as compiler.
Otherwise I'd like to have a list of what to do to get ready for coding/compiling.
Edit: NVM, I'd like a detailed guide of what to install and what to do (since it seems the compile guides are outdated :< ), running on WinVista.

I like to use QT Creator, even for non-QT projects but if most of your work will not have a .pro file use something else

There are some (outdated) .pro files for warzone floating around in the dev forum, they probably need major work to use though.
In general, if you see glowing, pulsating things in the game, you should click on them.

If the compile guides on the wiki are outdated, then we need someone to update them. Most of us developers run Linux.

PS Development is much more fun on Linux.
