EMP Cannon affecting structures?
I have often wondered why EMP cannon/mortar doesn't affect defensive structures and factories/research etc?
I think it would be much more consistent, useful, AND realistic if it did. Thoughts?

I like the idea of EMPing the opponents' research facilities
Maybe it could even reset the current research bar, simulating a loss of files?

In fact, I would find it more logical, fun and well-balanced if the EMP only affected structures. And shut them down for a longer while in a larger area. It would be a nice anti-turtle weapon.

heres what i dont get: there is an emp cannon, emp cannon hardpoint in game... we can get emp mortar pit, but where is teh turret??

Surely it would also affect vehicles aswell though, considering they are droids and would have lots of electronics inside of them?Per wrote:...if the EMP only affected structures...

EMP is certainly underused. It should come earlier, or nobody will ever reach it.

I was under the impression that since EMP is the "pinnacle" of Mortars / Cannons that it *should* be the last thing of that tech that the player gets?
