LAN Multiplayer

Post by belet »

Hi,
Does anybody know how to run Multiplayer in LAN?
I have tried everything but still have a massage that can’t connect to Lobby server.
I don’t want to connect to the lobby server. I just want to host a game on my PC in LAN and invite friends from the same LAN to join it.
I really appreciate your help.

PS.

Everyone except the host should choose "Multi Player"/"Join Game"/"IP" and type the IP address of the host.
The host should ignore the error message from trying to connect to the lobby.

Connecting to the lobby should work though, as long as port 2100 can reach the host's computer from the outside, and port 9990 is open from the inside.

Are there any specific instruction how to set up LAN connection inside home network? I have accepted warzone in windows 7 firewall as asked during multiplayer set up phase, computers ( win 7 ultimate) are visible in the network. But how to connect host computer, it isn't in the list Both are behind d-link DIR655 router, internet connection from Zyxel P660H ADLS modem, I assume that port forwarding should work without manual settings...

look in your internet settings, it is likely the same ip as your default gateway.

You can check IP/gateways by going to "Start" -> "Run" -> type "cmd" then press enter. When the Command Prompt displays type "ipconfig" then press enter.

IP address is 192.168.0.193 and gateway 192.168.0.1 internet IP is dynamic 88.250.xxx.xxx, so there must be some combination of IP addresses for LAN -connection inside home network....

I've never actually played on a LAN, but from what I gather if you are the host, joiners should enter 192.168.0.193 into the join by IP screen.
