Any chance that flaME could get ported to Linux (without having to use mono)?

Heh ... i wish it were ported at least *with* using mono (: Mono's not too bad, by the way ... it's almost native ^^
Anyway, i have another question. Will the flaME's source code ever be published? :D

With this, maybe we could at least make it more "mono-compatible".

macuser: This version is very old already, and has some bad problems. Could you please give us some recipe of how you did it, so that we could get a newer version working? (:

well unfortunately the new version will not work because it was written in .net 2010 and as of yet mono has no support for version 2010 :(

If only I had the time to learn the skills to make an open source map editor written in a cross-platform framework like Qt. :(

Maybe this should go on my TODO list :hmm:

(Or someone else could pick up this task in any other open source cross-platform language of their liking and maybe even release it under GPL? )

I assume he's suggesting Emdek get poked about continuing work on his editor.
This is why some features aren't implemented: http://forums.wz2100.net/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=7490&view=unread#p87241

Emdek did drop by a week ago though. Anyhow, he may just be pretty busy with real life.

Apparently, the most recent commit to Emdek's project was done by SafetyOff. Perhaps Safetyoff could guide you (if he really does have an idea).

Emdek's project has been released under the GPL, so you could make a fork of it, if you wish to go in another direction.
