What I mean is that for example if a level has 60min to complete, the ability to choose a chorter time interval to lets say 45min, would really create a challange for the player. Just a suggestion. but i love this new option
I really don't see the point of this. Choosing smaller time intervals isn't really something you need the game to do for you. The game already tells you how long you take. We could give a achievements or something for finishing under a certain time limit, but to abruptly stop someone after a certain amount of time seems silly.

Speaking of achievements. I used to laugh at the idea, but once I started playing a certain other game I mentioned earlier in this thread, I can certainly see the attraction. They cost so little to add, but add a whole dimension to the (meta-)game.

I do like the achievements better than what I suggested previuosly
My game handle is McCallister. I play mostly from 7pm -10pm Eastern Time. My WZ server is called "Good Times Server"

By the way -

Alpha 2:
"New Energy" sounds grammatically awkward. In addition, whenever possible, the title should help remind the user of which level it was (and vice versa).

Alpha 12:
Heh, I didn't like "Paradigm Shift" since it didn't make it clear that the NP was getting destroyed. "Paradigm Shift" might work better for Alpha 5.

Nice idea about the level select but how would you handle the fact that your base and units carry over from each levels? I guess it would be from the latest save data?

Gamma 2: Exposure
Gamma 3: Nuclear Winter
Gamma 4: The Fate of Team Gamma

Yes. My idea right now is to squirrel away a savegame before each level starts that is used to populate a menu that allows you to replay any mission. Also, when you select a mission there or restart a mission, you should be able to select a difficulty level that is the same or lower than the one you started with. The information about which difficulty level you played through a mission with should somehow be visible in the replay menu.

I updated my earlier post with some of your suggestions.

"Pre-Emptive" can either be one word or two.

I've never liked "All Your Base". I don't mind literary allusion, but it should always sound acceptable to someone unfamiliar with the alluded work, which does not appear to be the case here.

So then what would be more effective than All Your Base ?

While WZ per se is not about memes, a case could be made for the CAM backstory being a Memeplex whose origins lay in the first Road Warrior & Terminator movies. ;)

I agree that "All Your Base" may be a bit too cheesy. Of course, so is much of the Warzone story. Anyway, some suggestions:
- "Linked In"
- "A Fire Through the Spinal Cord"
- "Splinter in the Mind's Eye"
- "Turnabout"
... others? :)

Gamma 3: Operation Ferret

Not a literary allusion but rather a historical one because this mission was inspired from the Vietnam era tacs of the Wild Weasels whose unofficial motto I also really like a lot - YGBSM ..... "You Gotta Be Shittin' Me". :lol2:
