New game menu UI concept
Re: New game menu UI concept
No, I think it's because Warzone doesn't support those characters at some level.

My first thought on seeing it was "medieval-themed mod ?"GiGaBaNE wrote:some meaning so deep we cant see it?
Re: New game menu UI concept
I really like the UI, really makes the game look up to date with current games. Very well done.

BTW, Alphaeon last logged in 19, November. Total 2 posts, I think that we should look closer for Interface artists.
Is elio still working with his brilliant interface ideas?

afaik there was/is also the idea of using the qt toolkit for gui. I saw recent activity on the qt branch and i heard rumours that qt doesn't hit performance.

As some of you know EvilGuru is the main developer of Betawidget. Perhaps he could give you a better view on the current situation. - * According to Buginator the used library for loading SVG Images cannot be compiled under windows. The library is called libsvg-cairo (http://cairographics.org/snapshots/)
There is an alternative called rsvg which is also easy to use but needs glib
* Betawidget hasn't been integrated into the game yet.
* Betawidget has a scripting interface for lua. But it's in an early, premature stage.

Hey elio, long time...elio wrote:First, i'm glad you like it
Let me clarify that, it cannot be under windows (MSVC) 'as is'. It would require lots of changes, and I just didn't have the time to do such a thing. As some of you know EvilGuru is the main developer of Betawidget. Perhaps he could give you a better view on the current situation. Afaik:

For Qt, we can have SVG support with that, so that is a step in the right direction.Further Information:

We just have to get the build system up and running for all supported platforms. Right now, it only works on linux machines.
It should also be possible to make a much better front end for WZ with Qt, so we could actually have a much better lobby screen...
and it ends here.
