Fullscreen?

Post by gulli »

Hi, just found this project and must say I'm thrilled to be able to play Warzone again!

I have one problem though, the game doesn't start in full screen and doesn't seem to allow me to switch to full screen in any way. Isn't that possible at all?

I'm running it on Windows XP SP2

Fullscreen?

Post by gulli »

Hmm, of course I found a way to do it immediately after posting the previous post but discovered what seems to be a bug, when I exit the game my desktop freezes but after a CTRL-ALT-DEL and opening Task Manager it goes back to normal, no need to shutdown any process or application.

To get the game in fullscreen just add " -fullscreen" to the target in the shortcut properties.

-1024x768 would start it in 1024x768 screen resolution.
You can also try -1280x1024 and similar.

Dunno about the freeze. Will look at it further.

Hi again, hope you haven't spent much time trying to find out about the desktop freeze because this has started to happen with other fullscreen applications as well even after a complete windows re-install. I'm guessing it's a hardware problem.

Hello, First off, I have to say...  A big Thank you goes out to the wz2100.net people for all the effort you have put into keeping WZ2100 alive.  This was one of the most entertaining RTS games around when it came out.  I am glad that I happened to pull out my own retail copy from back in the day last week and started looking for maps online.  Imagine my amazement when I discovered wz2100.net and that wz2100 was released as open source.  Keep up the good work.

Now, to my question...

I have tried this on Windows and it doesn't appear to work.  Any other suggestions as to how to get fullscreen mode working?  I have tried this on 2.0.4, but not on the new RC1 version.

get rid of 204  it is buggy.  205 rc1 is a lot more stable. my desktop shortcut is below - your path may be different.

"C:\Warzone 2100_205_rc1\warzone2100.exe"  --mod grim.wz --fullscreen --viewport 1280x1024
‎"to prepare for disaster is to invite it, to not prepare for disaster is a fools choice" -me (kim-lav_coyote25-metcalfe) - it used to be attributed to unknown - but adding the last bit , it now makes sense.

I figured out to run the program with this command line, but the screen remains 7.75" x 6"   I may be missing some subtile detail.

For example, do I need the quotations marks before C and after exe?

Do I need the spaces before --mod, -- fullscreen, and --viewport?

Thank you for the help and for all the good work of the team working on WZ.

Quotation marks and spaces added.  No change.
