I like it all except the one part:

Can you make that part be over the barrel too? cause now it looks like shotgun. :)

Also you can use a pentagon cylinder for the barrel cause it's very thin.

Changed a few things, will start cleaning up the lightmap and finalizing it...

textured, hi-poly and original.
Since it is already only 89 tris, I think I'll let the barrel be hexagonal. It's propably not gonna be produced in huge numbers either so it won't be a resource eater.

I still don't like the part that under the barrel. I believe that it will look better if it'll over the berrel too.

I totally agree with Mangust. Besides having a weird look for a machine gun, there is a technical reason to extend the casing above the barrel: In real life machine guns, the ammunition transport and feed mechanism resides on top of the barrel and is protected by such a casing. And It would stick closer to the original design. My suggestion is to make the upper casing about 50% shorter than the lower one, that would give it the look most newer MG exhibit.

Awesome stuff!
We really need to work on getting the models we do have into the game...
The reason of why I think this is a good move right now, is that we've had redesigns in the past that never quite got finished leaving a lot of cool stuff in renders and screenshots only. This way, suppose the current contributors disappear for some reason, the community can "finish up" keeping to a similar style.

Also it'd just be really cool to have. Kind of like the SVN build of the game itself.

I liked how you did these new stuff in the Blender, specially in the texturing, which make them well made, giving an nice impression that they're well-modeled, very well done :D

I'm just wondering how many polygons each models has :)

Thanks, I actually make two models. First the lowpoly to see what details I can manage to fit into the geometry, then I make a detailed hi-poly model which I use to make bump- and lightmaps.
All the models are around 100 polygons, I've written the exact number of tris in previous posts together with the first pics of the models.

@Rider: We started a new AR forum where I'll upload the assets
