I seem to have version "r7904"
It's refused to continue on the following things so far:
* - any and all Transport missions
* - ...first one actually said there were things outside the mission boundry in STDerr :stare:
* - ...other times it just closes with no error message at all
* - changing propulsion on any support-turret vehicle (truck, sensor, etc...)
AFAIK, the bug was fixed rather recently, so you would need a fairly new build, and I don't got the time to make a new one...
and it ends here.

Are all the important trunk bugs fixed? I don't want to release a trunk build before the bugs are fixed.

I'm not in any rush to get a perfect version b/c I can still Load up the save-games in standard Warzone and play past that bugged part, then pick it up again with TRUNK ver afterwards... Just wanted to know which chronological order the Stability "flowed" in ;)

But if ya'll would like me to Catalog every single error while I'm playing through the campaign, then yah, I'll probably need a step-by-step here to getting or patching in the most recent data files or whatever O_o (not that I'm looking for extra work, or to create extra work for that matter, heh)

Cyber: what Devpkg did you use? Or did you cross compile?

He cross-compiled (presumably using the latest cross-compile devpkg). It's impossible to make a Windows installer on Windows.

Zarel: it is why? Could I make a .deb on Ubuntu? If so who should I change the maintainer in the control file to?

hei,
sadly the old trunk build crashes very often would be nice when you make a new build as the old is also 4 month ago and there are sure some bugs fixed now...

my errors with the trunk look like:

Code: Select all

error |04:23:04: [iV_GetCharWidth] Couldn't retrieve a bounding box for the character code 228
last message repeated 2 times
error |04:23:21: [strresGetString] Could not find string for id "ZNULLWEAPON"
error |04:23:21: [strresGetString] Assert in Warzone: ../../../../lib/framework/strres.c:100 (string), last script event: '<none>'
fatal |04:23:21: [allocateName] Unable to find string resource for ZNULLWEAPON

We can't make working (CC) builds for windows at the moment. Will be fixed one of these days. :stressed:

If you want to build your own trunk snapshots I have tried to make it as easy as possible for Mac users.

See CompileGuide/Mac for all the particulars, but basically, assuming you have Xcode installed, all you need to do is download and then run the script on that page whenever you want a new build of trunk.

woah! That's a LOT of detail! It Gives the game a whole new feel! Now all that's "needed" is the integration of the new body's and whatnot, and graphics wise, the game will be... awesome. (more so than now!)

Cheers, Yamar

Since the version that is currently available still has that water bug, which makes the game unplayable, I uploaded a version that has it fixed: r10862.
It isn't an installer, although made with NSIS, just an SFX archive that will extract the files to Desktop(or any other folder by your choice).
