4.4.0 Howitzer vs Ground Shaker vs Ripple Rockets?

In version 4.4.0 Which is the ground shaker a replacement for the howitzer? The howitzer is shorter range but does damage at a higher rate and is lighter. The Ripple Rockets have the longest range. Any recommendation which to bring from Beta into Gamma campaign?
