Very nice Sir, it looks like a processor or something.
The map shows potential, but indeed the starting layout looks cool, and is original, you shall spread it. I think you can still achieve this result at least partly.
If you have changed it already please update the preview too.
The behavior of AI you have described is indeed strange. Maybe just replace all the structures to repair it?
