FMV Cutscreens
The game as we all know has no movies in the campaign (like the PS1) mainly cus of the license and copywrite..
Which brings me too this, i have a psx1 emulator and have recorded the movies in bink, wma, and many other formats.
But will not post links or distribute at all until i have conformation on being allowed to do so.
I have managed to get them to work in the game on my pc..
P.S I will not give them out until we are allowed legally..
Thankz and bye!

Re: FMV Cutscreens
I suspect the movies on PSX version of the game will be of slightly lower quality than those on the PC version. So if we do get permission to legally distribute the FMVs we will probably use the ones in the PC version of the game as a starting point.
Currently FMVs are "a candle in the wind" so to speak.
Regards, Freddie.

Re: FMV Cutscreens
Well actually (even i was surprised) they are a very suitable resolution. they are rendered by the emulator in "true 24bit colour format" and look very nice..
I am using dial up at the mo so be patient as i upload a screen shot later..
Fmv's or cutscreens i get mixed up.. opps.
I insist you try ps1 emulators for warzone as its quite neat.
Also i feel that not many people understand the story of warzone, so the movies are quite important to me.
Also the pc version had comics or something like that, why cant we use them for a start? or is that copywrited?
Thankz and keep replying

Re: FMV Cutscreens
Just a FYI, we *do* have video playback code now, just no FMVs yet.
So whoever wants to create some original material, give it a shot.
We need them in ogg theora format.

and it ends here.
Re: FMV Cutscreens
I only recently found about Warzone, so I've never seen the cutscenes or anything. Is there a place I can legally obtain a copy? I've already sent an email to Eidos asking for a copy, but if there's a faster way, I'm all for it.

Yes, and Pivotal is aware of what he is doing.
Also, you can get the game from the-underdogs, although you must have bittorrent (I think they have the torrent to the game CDs). The-Underdogs goes through GREAT trouble to ensure that the copyright holders are OK with them hosting their games.
