I am french, so I will try to translate as well as possible, including turning some expressions into the french way.
But I don't understand how to edit the po file, so I've copyed the source and I will translate it directly. How can I send it back to you ?

As mentioned in the error message and Translation#Tokens, if a string contains placeholders like %x, the translation needs to contain those as well.

I have finished to translate in french. I just have to check for the orthograph and any reminding mistakes. You won't be disappointed : I translated all the file line by line, respecting the meaning of the sentences (for example when NEXUS talks to the Project). I just had problems with few lines, which I didn't know how to translate. So I copied the english version into the french translation for these ones.
My file is in text format. I hope you'll be able to reuse it...
I will send you the full translation soon.

Applied, thanks.

Please don't do that, it makes finding untranslated lines harder.

You have translated some strings without removing the fuzzy attribute, so they won't be used, and some were missing the closing quote. Please see Translation, I suggest you use poedit to prevent such things in the future (the current file is https://raw.github.com/Warzone2100/warz ... r/po/fr.po).

We're preparing to release 3.1 soon. Translations below the magic 80% threshold that will be disabled without updates (see TranslationStatus for the exact numbers):
  • Czech
  • Danish
  • Finnish
  • Frisian
  • Irish
  • Croatian
  • Latin
  • Norwegian
  • Romanian
  • Slovak
  • Traditional Chinese
The bold languages already have a substantial amount done, the others are far below 50%. Also, Portuguese, Slovenian, Ukrainian and Simplified Chinese are closer to 80% than 100%. For updates, make sure you use the current files from the 3.1 branch: https://github.com/Warzone2100/warzone2100/tree/3.1/po/

#3184 :hmm:
patches or mo files are both more work to apply, please don't use those
:hmm: Anyway, i'd like to have a look on what has actually changed. What is the easiest way to get a readable diff?
