Hi, I have had a look at some of the PIE models in blender (using the Wiki tutorial, which works fine , but maybe you should mention that the python scripts must be put in the .blender folder in the home directory).
The vertices of the tank model in the picture do not match. Is this a problem of the original model, or a problem with the import script? If it's on the original, maybe it should be fixed...

You could try to export the models as 3DS, and import those into Blender, to see if you get the same seams.

Re: Overlapping polys -> import script erroror bad model?
it's the model. the original pumpkin artists were using an imperfect 3ds max exporter that really botched certain kinds of things up, and besides that, it seems that some of the artists were working with the assumption that the pie format would have the same vertex precision as 3ds, so some models need a lot of work. i'll try to fix this one.

Cool! Thanks!
If I find more, I will post the model names.
