Chain Gun: what i wrote comes from the Wikipedia page (link above).

Amphibious hovercraft: the Griffon is said fully amphibious (manufacturer link above -click the Griffon 2000TD pic-).

VAB -Véhicule de l'Avant Blindé-: this vehicle must be prepared to become amphibious (I drived one. None of the VABs we were equipped with was amphibious).

Okay, I added the changes in launchpad, I changed Howitzer to Obusier and Points de Santé to Résistance, I added a few missing translations, here is the result. I plan to send it to warzone-dev this week-end, so if you want to make corrections and want them to appear there, try to post the modified file or the modifications you want to make before Saturday evening (Of course, you can still post any result to warzone-dev at any time).
From what I saw, there are some improvments to be made with Assault gun/chaingun, but since I'm not the specialist, I'd prefer if someone else did it. It can even be included in the version sent to the devs, if you're quick enough.

Now, my opinion about hovers : I don't know whether they work well on land or not, but the design in warzone looks like an "aéroglisseur" to me, and they are amphibious in the game. I don't think we should change the translation just because real ones may not be amphibious.

The VAB we have used in Kosovo, was amphibious (lived exp).
But like I said, this is just "little things".

You 're right about "Chain Gun" (watching Wiki),
the particularity is in an external motor.  :-X
Never heared an equivalent term in french...

So, "mitrailleuse" would be "machine gun" in this case, correct ?
Do we keep "rotatif" (adjective) for all "gatling" gun ?

Thanx for the file,
I will try to check that during the week.

Image Machinegun = Mitrailleuse

Image Twin Machinegun = Mitrailleuse Double

Image Heavy Machinegun = Mitrailleuse Lourde

Image Assault Gun = Canon d'assaut

Image Twin Assault Gun = Canon d'assaut Double

It's the translation in the original game.

I make same for other turrets when I shall have the time ;) (Maybe on the next week)

The best tactit is to mixted up the great tank, the little tank, the adav and the cyborg. And whit this army, doing great stratégie.

I think it's egal, no very changement in the french acoustic. But i think "mitrailleuse double" are better, because we use "Mitrailleuse Lourde" and not "Lourde Mitrailleuse". It's juste a matter of regularity. ^^ (I'm very Maniacal :P)

The "issue" stands here:

Assault Gun = Canon d'assaut
Assault Cannon= ?
Kroc wrote:Twin Machinegun = Mitrailleuse Double
The military term should be = Mitrailleuses Jumelées.

About these little things:

I meant : the right propulsion mode for VTOLs is "propulsion à poussée vectorielle"; for "hovers": "propulsion aérienne".
As I learn a lot of (technical) things working on this translation, I just wanted to share what I found. Sure that most translators would like to know what they are talking about.

Of course VABs can be amphibious; when prepared for, as I said. The military hovers in use are fully amphibious; and once again, I'm not the author of such words (check the PDF brochures you can DL from resellers sites).

;)

I didn't see anything that need urgent care, so I'll send the version I posted. Hopefully, you will find it in the subversion repository soon.

In the original game, it's "Mitrailleuse Double". But u can think all of u want.

VTOL = ADAV : Atterrissage et Décollage A la Verticale.

Assault canon, i don't remember, i launch the game, i verify and i edit my post ;)

Isin't "Aéronef à Décollage et Atterrissage Verticaux"?

I sent a file to launchpad one weeks ago and it still waiting for validation...
Is it normal?

No, not normal. But here it says "Failed", which means there was some issue with the file. You probably got a mail with "Import problem" in the topic.

I commited the file, which Althalus sent to the mailinglist, to svn.

I can't know if it's "Aéronef à Décollage et Atterrissage Verticaux" or "Atterrissage et Décollage A la Verticale"
