Low-Oil Maps

Post by +++ New Paradigm +++ »

[Incoming transmission]

Fellow Warzone Enthusiasts.

I would like to find/create more low-oil maps similar to those provided with the original game as I am horrified that most of the online games are played on maps with far too many derricks in one's base (well over 10!) such that the games just degenerate into one high-tech tank battle which while fun the first time, lose appeal immediately thereafter.

In such high-oil games gone are most of the strategies and tactics unique to this game like simultaneously fighting for control of resources, out tech-ing, crippling, and out manoeuvering one's opponent. I firmly believe four derricks should be the default number of derricks in one's starting position. The rest of the derricks should be scattered across the map and need to be contested.

My favourite map is Rolling Hills for instance, and I would like to find/create more like it. Does anyone know where I can find other maps, or even how I can create my own?

Many thanks.

Low oil players have arrived!
You can find maps on the Phobos portal:
https://wz2100.euphobos.ru/maps/

I also note that for MP games there are always auto-rating games in the lobby. Many low oil maps are used in auto rating.

Thanks for the link. There are a lot of maps there!

How does one create a new map by the way?
