...........
*1st - I like the sandy brick HPs for NO reason at all, a purely subjective appeal.
* But then, when I put a little thought into it - I like 'em even more.
* To start - there form serves many functions.
* They match the terrain - camo, don't ya know, is a good thing in combat.
* I do a lot of shooting (screens & machinima) and the geometry-texturing technique used hold up extraordinarily well during Extreme Close-ups (the whole distance spectrum for that matter - aka LOD)... way better than the originals. Actually, an ingenious design solution under the circumstances. If & when the "Drive" feature is fully implemented, this LOD is gonna shine even more in that FP PoV GPM experience, me thinks
* I have thought deeply about the WZ 2100 back-story: day to day life, scarcity of resources & an attentuated manufacturing base more focused on the War Machine than iPods, scateboards or any items normaly found in your local mall. Which is to say I believe there would be a real heterogenous mixture of high-tech, low-tech, & recycled improvisations.
* On a closing note - While Alexander was conquering most of the known world with his disciplined & inspired war machine - he simultaneously saw to the design & building of civil & warfare structures (outta local materials like brick & stone) - even an entire city which came to be known as Alexandria.
