Very good maps here! Very good.
I totally like your hill painting style; that's something i'd even try to borrow (:
The maps are also well-designed, i'm expecting to have quite a few good games on them.
Nice is so nice!

Technical bug reports and suggestions:

Still, you use hills only occasionally, and many areas start appearing to be a bit dumb; even a slight random noize on the heightmap could spice them up (which can be done in photoshop or any other image editor; just save heightmap, spice it up, re-import; i always paint heightmaps in GIMP and use built-in height brushes only rarely).

Paris map has unbuildable oil derricks at the bottom. A little hint here: you should add a row of dummy tiles at the right and at the bottom of the map, and only then the map will be truly symmetric and thus free from such problems. You can just use FlaME's "resize" tool on existing maps to resize the map by 1 tile and it will fix all the issues (there are also issues with build areas and scroll limits etc).

On Nice, you're trying to create yellow-sand-brown three-way transitions which are unavailable; unfortunately, the brown terrain looks too crisp and thus the missing transitions become too obvious; probably one should try to avoid this.

Last but not least, you seem to be doing a lot of manual cliff painting. If you don't trust cliff brush in some cases (which might be the rare case, but in fact the cliff brush is very reliable), you should have a look on those "diagonal cliff" tiles (like tile 18 in Arizona) that could make some of your cliffs look much better.

Thank you for your motivation and suggestions.

For use Gimp, I'm not an informaticien profesional. :P I prefer stay with flaME (for beginning), and I test that process more later when I will ok with flaME.

I tested "Paris" before post and I see that the oil was easy to access. But, I tested with the master and not with the original : 2.3.7. Or, it's realy a bug. No worries, I change the places of them and I repost the map after that.

For Nice, I'll make just one way for trunks to run on 1 tile. I can make 2 or 3 tiles if you prefer. Play with fun is more important than my objectif.

For the tile 18, for example, I use them, but i confess I don't use them on my first maps. I reform all of them and I repost a V2 on the day.

For Cliff brush, I don't think to use it. I tested on my futur maps.

Hi Yano :)

Very good beginning :) and very good maps here :)

I do appreciate fact that you do seem to do all the things manually as I did mostly before, but remember please that all those FlaMe features, when learned, can give you an excellent tool to use :)

With the rest I agree with NoQ :)

Good job man :) Friendly smile from me >> :)

Hello, and thank's.

I edit my first post and I rework on Chamonix, Nice and Paris. I join on my quote : Chamonix V3, Nice V2 and Paris V2. I repainted the terrain for they are more beautiful. I change the oil place about Paris of 1 tile because they are a bug.

I think they are good for now. But, if you find a problem, tell me and I change. :)

Good play.

Do you understand my bad English ? :P :lol2:

I change the oil place about Paris of 1 tile because they are a bug.
I want to underline it once more: the thing you should have done is increasing the map size by one tile instead. The oil might be fixed by moving it, but the buildable areas will still be asymmetric.

From time to time (: Do you want us to report any problems with it, so that you could improve? ;)

Hi Yano :)

I havent seen anyone with such a good mapmaking start here lately :)

I can clearly see you enjoy making the maps which is great and very good advantage :)

What I am warried about is that you will soon get bored about it and disappear as many did here before..

Well I honestly just wish you not to :)

The last map of yours reminds me of humans face rotatedclockwise 90 degrees right :) do you ?? anyone ?? see it too ?? :)

The map s really nice :) I see you are using rotating and mirrosr reflections very good :)

Just keep on good work and always try to improve :)

With your maps you have brought fresh ideas which i think soon will be inspiring me if not inspire me already :)

Speaking of your English.. Je parle un peu francais :) Je suis un etudiant on philologie anglese :) francaise e belle :)

Well I had french language on my studies but i hardly speak it.. although i consider it to be beutiful language :) and your girls :)

Speking of maps ;)

Good job man :) carry on good work :)
