What about track4 from the old Warzone 2100 demo CD? viewtopic.php?t=5950#p64051 - will be GPLv2 as it was by Pumpkin Studios

EDIT: And this one definitely isn't in the current distro. :)

Intro by Nomad Demon is very WZ sounding track, might need the wind chimes removing though ;) viewtopic.php?f=49&t=8901&p=95059&hilit=music#p94511

Nice tunes, with some tweakage 28 Cans Later could fit the game well...

would be great if you guys can add this to the installer to allow people to pick more music

That has been discussed somewhere already. :) It was before the original music was given away by Eidos or John "I forgot the name"... :D
I'd like to see the option "Community Music" in the installer aswell. Not only my 4 tracks fit nicely in the game, but also all other tracks released here. It adds a nice variation to it.

One thing that would help is removing the need for music.wpl (the playlist file) -- instead just allow music to be put in to the <configFolder>/music/ and have it automatically included. That way it will be much easier to add custom music to the game just by putting a .ogg in the right place.

You're right. Even though it's easy for an mediocre advanced user like me to edit a text file, it is waaay to stressful for the average user to follow 4 steps like open, edit, save, close.

PS: Came here because of email notification and leave with my first post updated with the music on bandcamp! ;) For a free download just enter '0' (zero) when asked for an amount or donate whatever you want. Thank you in advance!

Can someone tell me who made this track? It was part of the Warzone 2100 Legacy build.

That track is La symphonie du vide by David Schombert (aka neos)

L'aurore, Chocolat, Down, Esperance, Indy and La symphonie du vide were all part of N.E.W.S.T.'s 1.11 update for Warzone, all the tracks are by David Schombert.

I am wondering, has anyone put together a list of music that we can use with the 3.2 (or whatever it will be called) release?

I think not, but also a lot of stuff is gone again. We musicians should be collaborating a bit more on putting something together and maybe have a good source for the downloads. My 4 old tracks have been wandering around the weg from host to host, but are now fine on bandcamp. The decision to put it there was also because you can download the tracks directly as .ogg files. :)

Oh and additionally... What license should the music be released under?

Simply to not break the GPL. Releasing music source files can be a bit of a hassle. Not only because of project files for different music software used. ;)
