TrenchWar, Map

Hello !

I propose you my second map, a 6 players map.

Imagine a river delta bombed with atomic bombs, and occupied by strategic spot surrounded by trenches..
I suggest you to play against 5 allied AI to understand why I call this "trench war" :twisted:

You begin with 8 oil points, there are 4 areas of 1 oil point, 2 areas of 2 oil point and 1 area of 4 oil points.

The map is structured with trenches, no like the WW1, I try this but it's not good for AI..

It's a CC0 licence,

Edit : you will find in the following of topic a "before Bombing" version of this map

Thanks for the new map. Nice. I like big maps. How about more scavs, next time? I`m going to try this map now. Cross your fingers :)

I give you an other version of this map :

The same map, TrenchWar Map, but just before the atomic bombing ! With scavs, and grass, trees and water, a natural wonder : It's the TrenchWarBB map, BB like "Before Bombing"

I like this idea: Before atomic war, and after. 2 different map in one.

I think I will continue to make 2 maps each time, bombed and not bombed because it's simple to do

I suggest you to play this maps against 5 allied AI :wink:

I like the Trentch War map very much too. Especially the layout of terrain.

I agree with Berg that you should add more details. The very important thing is that a lot does not mean good too.

I look forward with interest for more creations of yours.

I especially like the second one, the BB map. But you should make the terrain higher, it all looks to flat.

Yes I must to use more 255 height for maps, no problem

Yes, the maximum height difference is needlessly small, maybe it would be possoble to include a height scale parameter in the next map format (default would be 1 so that all the old maps would stay unchanged) or maybe one could use .exr as the heightmap format, since it can use 16 bit float. Pretty nice map still.
