Warzone 2100 Forums

Hey,

Sorry, right now I'm in the same boat as Calculus here, I really don't like giving personal information online unless it's absolutely needed. That being said, I am usually connected all the time on IRC, you can drop me messages there and I will see them even if I'm not there, or you can message me here, but IRC is probably best... Sorry about the inconvenience.

I think He meant Tournaments which are officially supported by Warzone Ressurection Project.
WZ Project admins will take resposibility on tournament.

This means that Tournament's rules should correspond to rules of WZ Forums. Tournament's maps should be officially supported (not ntw?).
What else? Dunno.
I think project admins are afraid of various complains. They imagine themselves as official people (like officials). I think they afraid that complaners may write denunciation to somewhere and it will bring troubles to Project.
So official tournaments means just working with complains.

Hey kracker. Vk.com has 200 million audience. It is respected social network.
Fenrir, as organizer of Tournament, take many duties without any pay.
So, it is much easier, when all Tournament's participants are stay on one site. Because he need to contact with each participants every day.
Ok. i dont like to tell my phone number to some sites. But it used on many web-services already and It was sold many times.

And rightly so.
There is no need to call a WZ-Tournament an "officially" tournament.
I am a registered member of the official Warzone-site. With the registering i subscribe to follow the Forum & IRC & Game hosting rules. But there are not only obligations, there are rights i have. It is my right to express my opinion. For example my opinion how an "official" tournament should be done.
But please don't misunderstand me: This is a Warzone NTW-tournament.The name "Winter team tournament 2016" is absolutely correct. I wish you fun and good internet connection.

First off, Warzone Resurrection Project has long been dead.
We are known, for a few years now as just "Warzone 2100 Project".

For an official tournament, it would be run by the Warzone 2100 Project, and have matches that could be monitored/streamed with trusted (long time forum users who are reliable) people running things.
Yes, we would be using Warzone 2100 Project rules, and maps that are built in.
The main reason we haven't been able to do anything is, lack of people, lack of things that we need to get this done code wise, and above all, lack of time.
So, that is why you don't see any official stuff yet.

Hi guys. Today we have 7 registered teams (look 1-st post in topic). Tomorrow (10.02) is the last day for registration.

I've heard, that Jin-K+Perseus wanted to participate, but hadnt any communication with them. Hope they will build 8th team before tomorrow evening.

And about official tournaments...If community (=admins and contributors of wz.forum) doesnt want to support any unofficial tournaments, i dont think that "official" takes place ever. But its only my opinion.

And i do not use irc. So, he has time before 22.00 (Moscow) to post here. I have no time to moderate tournament in many places. So, vk.com or this topic.

I am not asking you to use IRC. Right now I have no way to contact him besides irc.
