I also laughed that you have accidentally rin my map
As I have no idea why did you pick this one except for showing its empty flatness which is entirel explainable in this case of LZs and Airports

Needed a vtol-only map to test my AI, and that was the only one i remembered. I still enjoy watching new deep water on arizona, makes me want to dive in instantly, so these fancy channels sort of looked cool.

troman remodded aivoltion for the v2.n release so that both Dragons and Gauss cannon can appear within an hour of gameplay. Not all of the AIs follow this through, though, hence the by then futile flamers. He also removed VTOL, AA and SatLas (tho still available to the human player). It becomes a slogger's paradise, where David has to move carefully among the Goliaths. Plays great on big unbalanced maps. One problem is that you can only save the game twice, so you need to dig in for long sessions (almost mp?).
I was slaughtered once again shortly after taking those shots - but I survived yesterday! Live and learn...

You were not deleted, but the context is fairly clear.
@NoQ: incidentally, the flaring in the s'shots comes mostly from cannon shell impact, not flamers. The AIs use HPV for derrick defence.

Well that's a very complicated matter ...
Why they don't use tanks is a part of it. In fact, they'd use tanks if they can't build defenses. That's why these defenses are potentially useful, for they are rapidly running out of space (:
