I've managed to survive (be hiding more damaged behind those more healthy) Gamma 1 mission with 9 very easy to damage units (howitzers) and commander, after game misplaced them in transport (there is ticket for that somewhere), but it took five attempts.
Also nice no terrain textures bug there.

NoQ, nope, it happened only once, such things are game bugs related to starting first missions of Beta and Gamma.

Wow, this kind of post processing could look really good in the game, don't you think?

Simply adding the scanlines would have a dramatic visual effect (but probably a big performance hit too). I've started writing some tutorials if anyone is interested in trying these post-processing effects:

It would be great if there was a way to get a HUD display (eg. markers with labels to indicate enemy bases, etc) but the current UI system would make that very difficult to do.
