Noob needs help (Repair)

Hi all,
I have just instaleld the latest version (2.3.9) and I am stuck on getting my vehicles repaired. What do I do. I read somewhere about a repair facility but cant build it?

Are you playing Campaign or Skirmish/Multiplayer. If campaign it should be noticeably available in research after you've progressed that far. If Skirmish/Multiplayer check out the guide page here: http://guide.wz2100.net/r/repairfacility

I'm playing Single player Campaign

You have to research repair turret, then repair facility IIRC. (been a very long time since I played campaign)

If you get repair turret, you can create a droid in the designer that has a repair turret then move it near your other units to repair them.

Once you have a repair facility, build with a construction truck (like your other buildings) and set your droids to "retreat at heavy/medium (as applicable) damage" on their right-click menu. You can also right-click factories and tell them to automatically configure future droids that way too.

Completed the Campaign but had no repair centre available to build?

All I've got are the trucks that can repair buildings.

you need to research the repair tech then you can repair them.

I did progress in the game and got something that I can build on a vehicle but could not repair anything with it?

after you research it then you design the unit then you make the unit then drive the unit to the damaged unit

Do I need to click on it (as I was doing, but nothing was happening) or click next to it and when it 'see's' it, it goes to work on it?

If you have made a repair truck click on it and then find a unit that needs repair hover over with mouse you will see a spanner showing it can repair that unit click it

I tried that but it did'nt show the spanner but the vehicle was damaged and smoke was coming off it.

If you've got a repair droid, just move it near the damaged unit and it should spot it and go over and repair it on it's own.
