what was done to the latest master?

Post by lav_coyote25 »

latest master is giving 3 fps. the master before that was 8 fps. what was changed ??? any chances of it being reverted? otherwise, the master is totally unplayable for me. :annoyed:

warzone2100-master-20111217-003348-a75f645.exe is the latest master i have. i didn't keep the one prior to that, so i cant tell ya the number of it.

I also noticed some clever framedrop mechanism in the latest nightlies, which i didn't really like. Even though it works very well when the engine has enough cpu power, the framedrop becomes unbearable as the game progresses (that is, more units are present etc.)

Maybe try running at a lower texture size...

where have you been?
I have been telling them about the issues with these master releases for awhile now!
I don't think it is map issue since I do a clean install every time and it still has very low framerates on my system and it is bullshit.
2.3.9 series are the only versions that don't have framerate issues.

this is my system - there seems to be a cap on the number of characters to be entered. if you need more information, just ask.
