Differece between hardcrete and hardcrete gate

just a quick question. What is the difference between hardcrete and hardcrete gate?
Can I build hardcrete gate into my hardcrete?

Shall I build hardcrete gate only? Do they have more/less HP?

Looking at the stats, the only drawback of the gate is that they build more slowly.

I assume by the time a stable version of the game featuring gates has been released, gates will be significantly more expensive, as well.

Okay, I couldn´t believe that they are so much better because they had no greater drawback^^
