Warzone 2100 2.2.0 Expensive Command Turret

Hi!

I have compiled and run WZ2100 in the 2.2.0 version.
It appears that when I design a commander unit, the command-turret looks inexpensive (cost 1) as in the previous version (2.1.*). However, when I try to produce this unit, its price is about 500 more than expected.

Does anybody has the same issue?

In fact, this problem is more complicated.

When I design a new unit with a command-turret, the price of the command-turret is 1 and it has almost no HP.
When I re-open this unit, its total price have changed, the price of the command-turret is now 500 and it now has 1000 HP.
In the original game and the previous version (2.1.*), the price of the command-turret is 1 and it has 1000 HP.

This problem only appears for the command-turret, other turrets and weapons are not affected.

Does anybody have the same problem?

Well it looks like nobody uses commanders.
Anyway, I also see this problem with the trunk version of wz2100.

Eheh. Most of the developers don't reply if we don't know anything about your issue.

So here's an official response:

We don't know anything about your issue. Try submitting a bug report: http://developer.wz2100.net/newticket

That'll guarantee that we'll deal with it eventually. :/

Actually, I do not want anybody to correct this issue, I just want to know if somebody else has the same issue. Or, if I am the only one who pays 500$ for a commander, while it was inexpensive in the previous version.
I am actually looking at the code. It is interesting, but a bit huge :-S .

The command-turret MK1 cost is 500 under version 2.2.0, closing then reopening the design screen should make it display the correct power cost and bodypoints of any command unit's.

Actually, this change does not appear in the change log of the 2.2.x version nor is it discussed in the forum. One can only see it in the User Guide.
Moreover, in the file weapon.txt, the price of command-turret mk1 is supposed to be 100.
There is no documentation about brain.txt, but it seems that the price of a brain is 1 (I get mine for free, so... :P ). Consequently, if I have understood the source code, the price of a command-turret MK1 should be 101. Consequently, if the price of the command-turret is not in the stat txt files, it should be documented.

Finally, concerning the user manual, WHO wants to pay about 2000$ for a command-turret MK3? In the sake of comparison, the more expensive weapon is the Plasma Cannon, which costs 800$...

For all these reasons I think that this is a bug or a mistake.
I do not understand why no player has worried about this change.

There are two version of weapons.txt the one in base.wz(campaign stats) and mp.wz(skirmish/multiplayer stats), the campaign command turret build power is 100.

Command turret cost was increased from 100 to 500 for ski/mp to prevent spamming them against the AI, $2000 is a tad too much for the command turret MK4 IMO.

I guess not many player's worried about the change because commanders are rarely used outside of the campaign.

Ok.
Thank you for the explanation. I'm probably not a good player since I don't really understand how not to use them :)
But actually, I rarelly play multiplayers games but in skirmish, I'm used to have 3-4 commanders.
Well, I guess I will make a mod for myself.
