Music causing problems

Post by Rommel »

Anyone else noticed that the music seems to be looping and then cutting off then looping again / cutting off causing lag problems in the mp and skirmish setup screens?

Definitely an issue here, I even removed the music and it is still causing problems. I can join mp games but I cannot host, as soon as I setup a game and click host the music lag timeout thingy happens and then it won't even connect... even tried removing my config file which has fixed issues in the past.

I think it stops due to lags, not lags due to stopping.
One thing I'm sure about is that it's not mp-specific.

Yeah I have no idea what is happening, only that all was working fine and now I can't host games, it seems to happen when after I set up the game and then launch, it doesn't connect (get that error message about making sure the port is open) and then the music starts playing for like 2 seconds then stops and skips back then forward then back then forward... infinitum I can join existing MP games fine btw

I'm sure it's something in your networking setup. The program locks on any network operations until they succeed or timeout hits (depends on network driver), and then there's no point to proceed with the music after so much delay; starting it anew would sound better.
