Looks great, keep up the good work. though the body of the school bus looks a bit out of perspective, where you looking at the model through orthographic view?

It's nice, but it needs some more detail on the side. look at this picture for reference:

There's lots of detail along the body that can be baked into the normal map.

Also, I would take another look at your texture. The rust seems off - probably because it uses the same specular value as the paint, and that value is too high so it looks like there's no depth. When a vehicle rusts out like that, the clearcoat on the paint is already gone, so it shouldn't be shiny. You might want to bake some noise into the normal for the rust, and maybe a lip around the edges of the rust in some areas to show the paint peeling.

It's nice, but it needs some more detail...
Are you aware how big this model would appear in the game?

Personally, I think it is a fine bit of work.

I think this is a good example of form serving function really well. The size, as Stiv points out, combined with normal viewing distance and speed of conflict, the detail I will appreciate at a glance with delight is the contrast of the added grey armor plates against the yellow.

Now if this was a Scav FPS game like Ravaged then attending those additional form details would actually serve a component of the GP function experience as per this :

@killhour: Nice reference :) As the other people are saying though, I'm keeping myself to fairly large details because of the scale. The bolts and rivets, for example, are hugely oversized on all my models etc. because otherwise they would be less than two pixels in the final texture. Even then, the oversized bolts only show up on maximum zoom. My style has gotten simpler over time because I have seen what works in warzone zoom levels.

As for the specularity, you're right, it's currently a bit all over the place. I currently use my diffuse map as specular map and have the specularity amped up a bit to see the normal map details better. For the export, I will of course change that.

@Rman: Thanks, but the grey was actually just lack of texure, I added a few layers of rust, paint and scratches for more texture. Trying out various splatting techniques since I currently don't have access to my trusty wacom intuos 3

That's sweeter yet and, looking at it in my minds eye, I think the detail can still be appreciated distinctly at normal zoom out playing distance, even at a glance or from peripheral vision, and within a thicket of other type scav units. :3

Not much wall to paint on, and I doubt they have spray paint :)

Graffitti goes back 30,000 years. One technique uses a feather soaked in organic dye, which the artist then blows on over a surface that's been masked with even just a hand. No spray paint cans needed. Also, graffiti is not just limited to walls. There's even a long tradition of it on military vehicles.
