looks good, comrade! :D (I can make textures for those right away, if you want ;) )

I think that if we don't want bunkers to look like towers, we need them to be restricted to more flat terrains, or make them flatten the terrain. Because making a bunker on a cliff would need limitation to the firing angle (it couldn't fire uphill because it's partially buried).

But I vote for this method of levelling the defensive building's bases. I looks okay and takes a load off from the engine (making more space for... Art Revolutions ;) )

Gah. Too bright! Not slanted enough! Bunkers should never be that vertical. Refer to the one I drew:

what about my proposal of limitating the inclination of the ground for building bunkers or making them flatten the terrain?

I tried to explain why that does not work for defensive buildings in my first post.

Yes- But, as Zarel pointed out, Fortresses are considered base structures. As bunkers are partially buried in the ground, as Zarel again said, why don't we make them to be like base structures? Then there won't be the problem of them getting the same aspect as towers.

Because then they couldn't be built next to other base structures (including other bunkers). They'd be like the old VTOL pads. I'd hate that.

What's wrong with my proposal?

It's alright, nevermind me, really - It was just a thought about a possible solution, but, as you said, the spacing would be a nuisance large enough to eliminate it.

Note that I also pointed out that I think they shouldn't be. ;)

Sure, and I agree with you! I was just mentioning the way they currently are. :ninja:

Look at the red arrow. The new MG Bunker is too tall in the building menu. I mean, It shows parts which are below ground. :-S

Why not have a seperate foundation object of fixed (abundant) height applicable to all defensive structures?

Hence you would have 'defensive structure' at the highest terrain height sitting on top of a 'foundation object' which is added automatically and doesn't intrude upon the icon sizes and, unlike other structures, builds downwards from the defensive structure. ^_^ For building purposes you could have a temporary seperate construction icon.
