OK now the pics work. Cracked earth and grass look great.
However I tend agree that the mountainside looks somewhat odd. Probably because the big lines are rather smudged. They don't look like cracks, but rather veins of different material like coal or ore. The angles look odd as well.

It plays in Arizona so yeah it should get as close as possible. Which is of course difficult as the maps are rather rounded and the Texture is always northbound, so it slopes down the mountainsides in all directions.
I think the main problem i have with the texture is that those lines form a solid net, which is just right for cracked earth, but seems odd on rock.

Edit: added a quick mockup based on the arizona cliff on first page. better color fit and cracks in all directions.

a finer one with better use of the resolution.

I'd like to do some more textures, which do need some work?

I suck at gfx but I felt like giving it a shot...

If it sucks let me know if there's any direction I should follow, if you like it's public domain.

Dude... I can't say "I want a cliffs texture like the mountains in Arizona" to the program and it will generate a texture that I want.. :-S
I'm trying to get textures as close as possible to original warzone textures.

You are so lazy to click on an url ? )) 1 screen-shot is about 1.5mb. I think that it's a waste of hdd space when there are many image hosting sites on the Internet.

Is it your own texture? I don't want use textures that incompatible with warzone license.

Looks like a shot because a light "falls" unevenly.

No, the problem is that that when those image hosting sites go down, we lose those images.

We own our own server - I think we would know much space our server can handle better than you can.

Ok, maybe I wasn't too clear on that, both textures are based on the current texture that gerard got from CGT and that is actually called cliff-arizona. Thus they are three minute jobs. My comment on what I tried to change was actually meant towards that one as well, rather than yours.
So license would be same or CC-BY-SA

I just noticed that in the screen shots on the website, the original cliff textures are oriented top to bottom. Only the new ones are oriented east/west.

@Zarax interesting texture, but ... whats it supposed to be?

I see as sun-dried terrain, although I admit it may look odd just by itself.
