I'd love to see highlight versions of the various buttons in the player box. That is, when you move the mouse over the player flags, flags with numbers in, and player numbers, then they should be highlighted somehow. Maybe just draw a silhouette around them. I don't know what will look best. Also some of the other buttons might want better highlight versions, some are just rather dull versions of the normal button.

Re: Gfx help needed
i think the team flags confuses a bit with the color flag, what do you think about greek letters alpha beta gamma etc..? in the campaign there is also alpha, beta, gamma in use
+brighter flags for hover effect
+img file (hope it works, couldn't test)
update frontend.png: the 7 was a bit too right

Flags for teams can go, we used them because we didn't have any better icons.elio wrote: i think the team flags confuses a bit with the color flag, what do you think about greek letters alpha beta gamma etc..? in the campaign there is also alpha, beta, gamma in use

The new icons look real nice.
As for greek letters, although this is an interesting idea, I think it's better to stick to arabic numbers for mp, as there are many people not familiar with greek letters who won't be able to tell if they are in team "Theta" or "Eta" judging by the symbol.

Do they need to know the name for the symbol to be able to use it?Troman wrote: As for greek letters, although this is an interesting idea, I think it's better to stick to arabic numbers for mp, as there are many people not familiar with greek letters who won't be able to tell if they are in team "Theta" or "Eta" judging by the symbol.
What about droping the numbers for start-positions and instead just use colours? That way we could immediately use them in the map-preview, and there would be no issues with the font-colours.
Re: Gfx help needed
hmm i don't think this is a good idea, because each player has also his own color
edit: ah now i understand^^: these icons i made are for team-matches indicate the team number, not the start number on the map.
devurandoms idea's nice
you can outline the number (see image) and there is no problem to read it

Yes, when said to join a specific team or when trying to find out what team someone was in after a game.DevUrandom wrote: Do they need to know the name for the symbol to be able to use it?

Re: Gfx help needed
elio, is your offer concerning making more icons still valid?
We are currently missing 2 icons: for map preview button and for a "ready" button, that indicates whether a palyer is ready to start an mp game. It is an 'X' (which can be confused with a button that allows the host to kick players) that turns into the checkmark when clicked right now. I attached screenshots.
Do you think you could make something better?

Re: Gfx help needed
i've done three variants, i'd prefer the third
what do you think?
(n°3 icon 3: tick is a bit bigger than the other, for hover effect)
