By the way, what's the reason to have an 4 vtol pad building in the game Zarel?

I know it's sometimes disgusting to build every vtol pad one after another.

Once upon a time (not that long ago), vtol pads were ordinary 1x1 buildings that had to have 1 tile space between each other. This was really annoying to build and took a huge amount of space. So I made it so that they could be built anywhere there was an open space, allowing them to be built by dragging strips of them, and making it so that droids could drive over them. However, this lead to ugly graphics glitches, where vtol pads sometimes disappeared entirely. That eventually made me want to go back to making vtol pads ordinary buildings, just a bit bigger, so that they would not be so annoying to build and take so much space.

Hope this clears that up :lecture:

How hard would it be to make buildings that go into the ground? Would it be possible to make certain ground tiles invisible so you can see the geometry below them?

I think you can already make buildings go into the ground, just stretch the geometry in the right axis :) It will look a bit odd in the build menu, but I plan to fix that.

As for transparent terrain, I am not sure what you want. Just making a terrain tile transparent would look really odd, no?

i think he means the tiles built on go transparent for the duration of the building on top of it, so if you see to those tiles, you instead see the "underground"

Colditz wrote:Well, It shouldnt be a problem to port the structure to 2x2 base, but the 4 platforms will overtower the base. I dont know if this is allowed or not, otherwise I have to redesign the entire structure. Of course I can adjust the size of one platform, at this model, and the single vtol base.
We can enforce "no structures next to it", which will allow you to make the platforms so slightly outside the 2x2 space; however, I would recommend it to extend no more than 0.2 tiles or so (~20 world coordinates). Again, you are free to adjust the size of the individual platforms; there's no need for them to span an entire tile.

I don't think that it fits to warzone current structure style, anyway it looks more like a regular helicopter pad for humans than an reloading station for computer controlled vtols. Designing a structure for its common use by thinking the way it should work in "real life" is the best way for everything.

They are not computer controlled, there are humans inside the VTOL..
