That the "Linux version" isn't in the software center, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And about the software center of Linux, by what I heard in this forum, it isn't the devs that upload the version there. And I heard that it can't have an auto-upload or anything like that. But I don't know the reason.

The Ubuntu Software Center is controlled by the developers at Ubuntu. We can't upload packages there, and even if we did, Ubuntu would not release them until they are considered "stable" or until the next Ubuntu release cycle.
Just an inherent disadvantage when using package managers. It's why I sometimes prefer source compilation. Or Arch linux.
