Ideas from a fan
Hi there. Here are some of my ideas.
1,I think network lobby chat could be useful.
2,Also it would be interesting to have a wonder building. for example command center could explore clicked area for 15 seconds every 20 minutes etc..
3,In-game research tree image with description.
4, imho music is "outdated", it could change when player is attacked etc...
5, stylish 3d-like cursor
6, less, longer and cheaper inventing, so player can concentrate on strategy
7, procedural textures for rotating wheels
8, visually improve fire, explosions
9, display population limit (even if its high)

He probably means that he'd like to see some sort of counter on the screen that displays how many units a player has currently, and how many units a player is limited to, kind of like how, in StarCraft 2, there's a counter on the top-right of the screen that displays how much supply/control/psi a player is using (more powerful units, like Battlecruisers, generally need greater amounts than less powerful units, like Marines), and what their current supply/control/psi limit is (which can be increased up to 200 by building more Supply Depots or Pylons, or training more Overlords).

strg+a tells the number of all units ... (trucks excepted)
and i always play with own musicplayer runs in background an turn the music in game off

i have found a biiiiig PDF with the whole tree
but its not realy a readable format for new players

Ohhh.. that tree.. I thought you meant an actual PDF not a png.
Oh yeah and an in-game preview of that kind would be pretty awesome.

A tech tree would be nice, and so would being able to queue research instead of having to go visit the lab screen whenever each research completes.
I would even suggest a tech tree with weighted-random chances for most non-essential technologies, as Sword of the Stars implemented (quite well), but I imagine that most players would hate this with an intense and passionate fury. Making things "interesting" doesn't always translate into making them enjoyable, especially for people who rely on a strict progression on a strict timetable rather than adapting on the fly to use what the situation gives you.
As for music, turn the in-game music off and play your own if you don't like it. No matter how good and how extensive the soundtrack is, people will eventually get tired of it if they play often enough.
