whats up with missile defence?

I have wondered if a anti missile missile or anti missile laser for tanks and structures can be made just to destroy that stray missile,mortar ect... comming at your units, its just in real life these things exist i know that the archangel sites target other sites if missiles come its way but if an armada of missiles come your way you can do nothing but see how structures,tanks ect get destroyed. ive thought tha AA sites may be able to target them even if it only have a 50% missile destroy rate.dont know maby im changeing too many rules but a missile coming in from all the way from the other side of the map to hit a tank right in your base and destroy it and nothing in all the defences you put up against VTOLS,tanks,cyborgs cant stop the missile

I've wondered about missile defense, too. But you can do a trick to avoid your base being bombarded by enemy projectiles: sacrifice a tank, with CB or Wide Spectrum nearby, and your artilleries will take care of the enemy artillleries (if it has enough range, of course).

yes i have done this by actual putting a tank right next a repair turret so if it survives an attack it wil maby be ready for the next. but in all id like some sort of anti missile weapon or missile sheild a rechargeble 1 for units and buildings that can take a few hits and then needs rechargeing, i have seen archangel weapons fire all from 1 side of the map to all the other side regardless of how big the map is.

In my opinion, we are talking only about medium-range distances, within 50km. uncontrolled missiles can pass this distance, they are too cheap and too fast to think of missile defence. we don't really have some big and slow bombs (with the size of a plane or bigger). Think about missile as a it would have about 100hp, and probability to hit is just couple of percents.
