Hi warzoner's. I've made this account especially to write this thread.
Everyone who have played MultiPlayer games know, that there is possibility to change limits of some structures, like VTOL Factory or Laser Satellite, and with this feature we can disable it or change it's amount. My idea is to expand this feature, or do it on other way, to make possible to limit other structures, especially amount of ripple rocket battery and howitzers - I think it should be very interesting for MP games, where if some team was not won in first minutes of game, each side is building a huge amount of this emplacements. With limiting the artillery (+ maybe other structures) games could be more interesting, introducing more strategy instead of making "nuclear umbrella" and it wouldn't make lags when ~70-100 rockets are shooting at the same time etc. This feature shouldn't be hard to make. My suggestion is to change/add to window with settings structures limits option with one dropdown to set type of structure (base structures, sensors, artillery, cannons etc.), and if you choose one from these, second dropdown with names of structures of choosen type and/or it's image is append on the row. If you choose structure, then slider or input field is appending with max amount of this structure (and some button "+" that is adding next row with dropdowns etc.). In my opinion it shouldn't be hard to do it, and it may be very useful feature.
What do you think about it?

I think this is a great idea, but really most things now that I see asked for seem to have a prerequisite, that being an update to the UI system of WZ. This is one of the things that should really come after a UI update.
I am of the opinion that the UI overhaul is way overdue, the UI as it stands is not at all user friendly with amount of clicks and mouse movement needed to get things done, even then this type of thing could be bandaided by some well thought out short cut keys to make it easy to quickly design/build/edit.
BTW no disrespect meant in this, I understand the game is old

The hot keys are not nearly sufficient to address the shortcomings of the command and control UI / scheme if you are not into Team Play and want to command your own combat groups from coordinated multiple vectors. Once a replacement for the current procrustean UI widgets scheme is in place, in tandem with the JS API, this can be addressed and one of the greatest obstacles to growing the games popularity removed....inho.

Well, i'd rather say limit oil derricks.
Setting generator limit to 4 or so should also give the desired effect

IMHO, make a "simple game mod" with 4 factories, 2 cyborg factories, 1 VTOL factory, no 30+ artilery, no walls, map is open
All bad strateg player will be happy with this...
For normal players just remove all kind of limits, and add maintenance payment, to exmplain why I can't have 100 factories.
