To clarify, is this going to be like "pay up or you don't get anything", or more like "to support this project, click this link to donate"? :? If the former, that's going to restrict WZ to people who can pay online...

$0.02 (There, you got your money... )

Paying for a changelog seems a very strange concept. Would it not be easier to first try a "donate" button on the home page and see how that goes?

I don't understand it.
Really, you pay for patches, or maybe some kind of update. You pay for DLCs...
But for a changelog? (Sort as the log itself?!) WTF?

I believe the full changelog will all the small details is unecessary. The git changelog would be far enough for anything that don't touch the game balance too much.
Heretic 2.3 improver and proud of it.

I guess a better question would have been "What would you pay for?" and preface it with reasons why there's a desire to monetise the game (eg. to commit more time to improving/extending it).

If changelog is the issue, why not crowd source it?
If money is the issue, why not putting a "donate" button?

I can't see the relation between the two.

If being understaffed is the issue, then why not add more people to the team? I'm sure that there's a few of us here that'd do it for free.

I've submitted an alternate proposal to the staff, will see what their decision is :)

Depending on price, I would buy Wz (that can get updated for free) , but not just 1 version...
