Why is the multiplayer mode not as attractive as the singleplayer mode?

Just ponder why warzone skirmish/multiplayer is not as attractive as its singleplayer,cos I noticed most of the bug reports are sp campaign related,so I assume we have far more sp players than mp ones.

edit:erm...I dont seem to have privileges to start a poll,so I listed the poll questions there instead:

1.Unstable:desync and stuff
2.Prolonged games:game usually lasts multiple hours
3.Huge tech tree:it's always the player who knows the tech tree the best wins the game
4.Imbalance:certain weapons/bodies are too good while the rest are useless.

I love MP... but the cams will always hold a special place and in certain ways are far more enjoyable. Mostly it's the base, having a single base through each cam is really nice. CnC always bugged me because you were always building a new base, and I like to really go to town on my bases with defenses, outposts, forward bases, vtol areas and so on, so having that single base through each cam is really sweet.

What i'd love to see more though, is a single primary base that is used through ALL cams, then secondary bases that are like the bases in warzone. Kinda like Earth 2150. It's somewhat depressing spending all that time, effort and resource on a stupendously awesome base, only to have it demolished by Nexus :( Being able to micromanage a large central base in the background would be great :D

I thought that WRP don't want to wast time on MP bug fixing. I thought that you want to overwrite all net code. That's why I & my clan didnt report about MP bugs anyway there are too many (tones of gliches etc).  I think mp side is most "horrible" of warzone.

If talking about mp....most of time I play mp. SP is very interesting for me in: 1)story line 2)gameplay 3)music :) 4) FMV 5) & like someone already said no need to build new base at each time.

I think the warzone sp is also made interesting by the artifacts. You're always looking forward to finding the next one, to see what tech you will discover.  + When you've found it, you want to build it to see what it looks like and what it does etc... in most other rts's you just get new tech for free or just have to research it. In warzone it's more like a surprise present.

i think that mp in wz 2100 one of best mp of all rts games!
but mp in wz have many, many, tones of bugs! and the big part of this bugs are critical!

Its looks like in RPG when you found new armor or weapon.

Hmm let me try to summarize the problems:
1.mp 'bugs'(actually they are not bugs but the problems caused by desync,players have completely different 'copies' of the mp game after a prolonged game I think)
2.repetitive base building/re-building
3.no 'RPG-elements' in mp game

Actually it used to be completely opposite back to the NEWST / Pumpkin-2 days. Almost no one played sp afaik.
The most obvious reason for me why most people prefer SP nowadays is that we get new member constantly. People come and go. And it's quite usual to start a game with campaign and not multiplayer / skirmish.

The thing with asyncs is more a problem for more experienced players who have already played several mp games and are aware of the multiplayer problems.

In my opinion the Host-System is a big weak point. (If the host quits the game ends)

not only async makes MP not popular. little staff which needs every game make uncomfortable mp game like:
-not implemented ally visibility(I remember it was add & removed in 2.0.4_rc1 //& it was buggy too :( )
-suck chat in game...also immposible to wright in PM (personal masseges)
- no pause(which some time needed indead)

& many buggs with hosting\joining  game also unknown thing when playing long /...your units blowing withought any reasons(by themselves).

but as for me the First problem in the "list" is that too difficult find a partner for playing in the internet. I'm talking about a dedicated server or somethig like gamespy. Alternative programe could be "Directgames"..but it long time didnt show a "life" signals.(means dead project)
