- OK guys, Sitrep, please? - aksed Luke, from his chair on the Main HQ's meeting room.
- Research replies idle scientists. We have nothing to work on. - said a man in a labcoat.
- Production is ready to serve, sir - said a technician, in a blue jumpsuit.
- Our VTOL squads are on the edge, sir. - said a pilot, with his helmet off
- Defense is at your service. All bunkers running with a skeleton crew, and ready to be manned. - said a lieutenant.
- Our tank pilots are standing by. No incoming attacks from the Coalition. No Orange used so far. - said another
Luke put his hands on his face, and looked to the other side of the room.
- Your orders, sir? - said the first lieutenant.
- We still have two bases to attack. The researching and the production base. Any suggestions? - asked Luke
- I reckon the research base will be heavily defended.
- Yes, but a constant flow of new tanks would be hard to counter.
- Rather blow up tanks than be surprised by those hidden bunkers.
- Yes, and if they use heavy multi-turreted tanks we're dead.
- It wouldn't make difference if they use orange because...
- We have secured our tanks for orange...
- Our tanks can't...
- ENOUGH! - shouted. - We'll attack...

I'd say the production base. That way they'll have more time to come up with new research to recover while still being limited in firepower :)

- Sir? We'll attack which one? - asked the lieutenant. Luke spaced out for a second before coming back to himself.
- We'll attack the research base. We can't let them keep developing new ways to hinder our progress.
With that, Luke ordered a scout cyborg ahead while he started production on heavy artillery units and attack cyborgs.
As the scout reached the hilltop, he could make out the research base below. Fortified with the special walls, towers, bunkers and he could swear he saw some hidden bunkers coming up for shift rotation. A couple trucks bringing resources from a VTOL transport, as well many cyborgs. He could also see what looked like tiny cyborgs, the size of a standard human, rather than the 10 feet tall cyborgs the Omega Squadron was using. It was doing some maintenance on a twin machinegun tank. But what surprised the scout was that to access the underbelly of the vehicle, the small cyborg simply lifted the tank with one arm while using the other to fix whatever he was fixing.
On the other side of the base, he also could see some landing pads, AA weapons, a couple VTOL's being rearmed and a black and green small transport lifting off of the LZ. Before he could gather any more intel, the scout's pilot's heart must've skipped a beat right when a red laser shined at his face. He was being targeted! Was it a sniper? Rather than staying to find out, he activated his cyborg's jump systems and fled the scene.
- A sniper, you say? - said Luke
- Sorry sir, but I looked like a sniper. I just caught a glimpse of a red aiming laser pointing at me and then I fled.
- It's OK soldier. The other information you brought was also helpful. I'm worried about the black transport you mentioned.
- Black and green, sir.
- Yes, black and green. Do you think... No... They've destroyed him... We should investigate this, after we raid that base. Prepare the VTOL's. We'll send them after we destroy the AA guns.

Luke, leading on his command tank, approached through one of the valleys that lead to the Coalition's base. As expected, he was met with heavy artillery. High-speed heavy howitzers, mortars, and incendiary mortars kept firing against Omega forces, however, Omega had developed a ECM technology which disrupted the enemy's artillery radars reducing their accuracy. Nevertheless, some shells did hit their target, damaging some of the tanks. As they approached and destroyed the radar tower, the enemy sent a few units to outflank them, taking them off-guard while they attacked the sensor tower. They swiftly destroyed the sensor tower and foucsed on the newly arrived units. With no shells raining over their heads, focusing on attacking was easier.

No one of Omega's pilots noticed a small red dot next to a plasmite flamer tank though. With so few units sent by the Coalition, Omega was easily advancing towards the base, until someone shouted over the commlink:
- Sir! Incoming warhead!
They all looked upwards to see a missile fly down onto a group of nearby units. It hit its target with 100% accuracy. Omega lost five tanks.
Luke ordered his units to advance next to the base's entrance so that the Coalition couldn't fire any more warheads. Of course, while advancing, a couple units got some external damage as well systems damage, yet still with fighting capabilities. Luke ordered a protection formation around his unit as he sought a clear line of vision to target the AA guns. Escorted by Vengeance Twin Assault Cannons tanks, Luke fought onwards and when he managed to target the AA guns, he ordered his artillery units to fire. With ease, his Seraph-Rocket Launchers razed the landing pads, the rearming VTOL's and the AA guns, allowing Luke to call in plasmite bombers.
He immediately regrouped with his other units and focused on bunkers and enemy units. Unit by unit, Luke managed to destroy the enemy's units, while sending back all heavily damaged units. At the end of the battle, the two commanders bailed their tanks and rushed to a nearby research base. Three or four heavy tanks parked by the research base and broke in. Luke stayed on his tank, and evaluated the bases structures while his soldiers took over the research bases.
After everything settled down, he brought in some cyborg engineers and repairers, rebuilt the defenses and brought some technicians to examine research documents.

While everyone was working on the enemy base, Omega's forces had set up a mobile command center. Luke was evaluating losses and managing repairs and injured pilots, when his monitor went blank, and some static afterwards. The Coalition's symbol appeared and a voice calmly said: "Attention. Your attacks will not go unpunished. The Core has provided resources to fulfill our mission. Destroy the Project's Omega Squadron. We... will... not... fail... Message ends."
