Enough data has been collected before the self destruction:
Are really oily and look bad because of that.

Under some circumstances starts self-replicatng procces.
Without oil they lose all powers.
The only way to remove oil is with *we don't want to leak intel about enemy's weak spots*.

We shouldn't produce them because they are easy to destroy, by a method spoken about before.

Please send us one more, we didn't manage to test the destruction method. But it works
