oh man, this track is awesome. i feel ashamed to say that i've never heard it before.
quick question; why is that not one of the two tracks i have from my WZ2100 CD's? i mean, i've had them in WMP for years now (and for some funny reason, WMP thinks they come from a Nelly single), and that song is most certainly not either one of them.

This gave travel missions an authentic "travel" feeling in my experience. Watching the transport drop everyone off, it was a really basic feel, and it builds massively.
Can we find who did this?

.
This is a music track exclusive to the PSX version of WZ that member coolkid actually put up a year ago for download on the WZ Page he created @ moddb.com Whether it falls under the GPL is a question I cannot answer, to be honest since it could fall under Sony's contract with Eidos. I really don't know.
All the Warzone 2100 music was composed-created by Martin Severn who also did the music for all of Pivotal's Conflict series of games (WZ Creators company after Pumpkin Studios closed) and has been making music for games since 1987 (like for the classic "X-COM: Apocalypse"). Last I heard he was with the iPhone development studio called "Cave Bear" in the UK (along with Nick Cook, another WZ developer, Pumpkin and Pivotal alumnus.)
So... what's my "prize" - a forum "cookie" ?
Regards, whip

This was in the PSX version of the game, so right back at the start. It was pretty good, very eerie and suited away missions well. Actually i wondered where that bit was music was when I downloaded 2.2Zarel wrote:I, um, don't remember this.

Actually, if you have Firefox, download the Youtube to MP3 converter addon and get this bit of music put in the files

if the psx versions of the in game media is covered by the gpl release, might i suggest you take to campaign 2 fmv's from it.
the voice dubbing for them is by far much less camp sounding.

I thought the voice in the FMV's for 2.2 was a redub. The original ones were much more mechanical and terrifying.psychopompos wrote:if the psx versions of the in game media is covered by the gpl release, might i suggest you take to campaign 2 fmv's from it.

No, the sound is the same as the original... :/Revelo wrote:I thought the voice in the FMV's for 2.2 was a redub. The original ones were much more mechanical and terrifying.
Re: Now this is something I missed that we still don't have:
I should have been clearer, the PSX version had the Collective Commanders voice much more menacing and mechanical. The PC version sounds more campier. Forgive the choice of words but I was weaned on the console versionZarel wrote: No, the sound is the same as the original... :/

Maybe it was distortion from your TV.
Re: Now this is something I missed that we still don't have:
Funny sort of distortion when NEXUS and the Paradigm commander sounded exactly the same Unless the Collective infects TV's with the anti-camp ray now or something.Zarel wrote:Maybe it was distortion from your TV.
