Announcement: Random map generator version 1.0.1
Announcement: Random map generator version 1.0.1
Hello all,
just uploaded version 1.0.1 of Diorama. http://warzone2100.org.uk
Changelog for 1.0.1
Rewritten the route() function in Cython and C. This particular part of the map generation should now be up to 100+ times faster. On my crappy laptop a default random map now takes less than 10 seconds to generate.

I changed the map preview's colors a bit; what do you think?

Florian - well done on earning yourself a sticky. Any chance of compiled builds for Windows/OSX/Linux? I can't for the life of me find my way around Python.
Zarel - Looks good.

Bring back...ducks!
Re: Announcement: Random map generator version 1.0.1
Can you tell me which platform you're on? The manual http://warzone2100.org.uk/manual.html does have detailed instructions for Debian/Lenny.
I am in the process of getting instructions (and possibly binaries) from somebody who has MacOS. I'm not sure where to start getting instructions or binaries for windows - if there are any volunteers in here I'm happy to host both your instructions and/or binaries.
I don't own any proprietary operating systems / software, so I am rather limited in what I can provide myself -- sorry.

Mac OS X will be a pain. Take it from someone who packages Warzone for OS X.
Windows I am currently looking into. I have PyQt, Py2exe and Python installed on my XP VM so I'll play around with it over the weekend.
Regards, Freddie.

I think gringo and clasp (in the potassco/ directory) you can compile with mingw32.
Re: Announcement: Random map generator version 1.0.1
Updated map preview, with what should be a better water color, and presumably a better cliff color.
Re: Announcement: Random map generator version 1.0.1
Could you compile this, so we can use this?

I do not have or have access to the following proprietary platforms: MS Windows, OS XMakary wrote:Could you compile this, so we can use this?
I believe EvilGuru is prodding a windows package, and I am getting somebody else to give me OSX compilation instructions. If you're on Debian or Ubuntu, the instructions in the manual will work.
